The aim of this scheme is to develop benchmarks for systematic sports training.  Respective NSAs set the standards for assessing students’ skills according to various levels of badges.  At the end of the courses, coaches will assess students’ skills.  Those who meet the standards will be awarded badges and certificates by respective NSAs or the LCSD.  They can also take part in progressive training to further enhance their skills, through which sports development in the school sector is fostered.

Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Canoe, DanceSport, Duathlon, Fencing, Gymnastics, Netball, Rowing, Rugby, Shuttlecock, Tennis, Volleyball and Wushu are provided under the Badges Award Scheme (Chinese version only)
