Managed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Lei Yue Mun Public
Riding School is a large-scale public riding facility located
in the urban area. It occupies an area of 4 000 square metres
and was commissioned on 21 November 1992.
|

Facilities in the School include an office, a lecture room, two
paddocks, a stable which can accommodate 36 horses and ponies, changing
rooms and parking spaces. There is also a hacking trail, which is
approximately 1 300 metres in length, meandering along the mountain
side that allows riders to command a distant view of the whole Lei
Yue Mun Strait. Apart from the paddocks, riders can also enjoy riding
along the hacking trail.
The
School provides a wide variety of activities, such as group training
classes, horse hiring, taking a horse at livery, visits, riding
competitions, etc. to promote the equestrian sport.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will organise a number
of horse riding fun days for the public at Lei Yue Mun Public Riding
School each year. For details, please contact the District Leisure
Services Offices or visit the webpage
of LCSD Community Recreation and Sports Programme.
Also, Lei
Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village will organise group horse riding
activities for campers and visits for organisations of the elderly
and people with disabilities. For enquiries, please contact the
staff of the Holiday Village at 2568 7380.
