Cheung Chau Sports Centre

Introduction
Cheung Chau Sports Centre is located at No. 3 Cheung Chau Hospital Road, which is adjacent to Cheung Chau Hospital. The Sports Centre was opened on 10 January 1993. A wide variety of sports facilities are available to be booked by individuals or groups during opening hours. Besides, recreation and sports programs are organized each month for public participation.

Facilities
  • A multi-purpose arena which can be used as a basketball / volleyball court, 4 badminton courts or 2 gateball courts
  • 1 multi-purpose activity room with 100M2
  • 1 fitness room
  • 1 children's play room, mainly for children aged between 4 to 9, with maximum height 142CM
  • The main arena and activity room are designated for booking with 60% for sports use and 40% for community use

    From 7 am to 11 pm daily (except on maintenance days)

    Maintenance Day
    1st and 3rd Mondays of each month from 7am to 1pm
    (If a maintenance day falls on a public holiday, it will be rescheduled for the next working day.)

    How to Access
  • To take ferry from Central Piers Terminal (Pier 5) to Cheung Chau and walk about 10 mins from Cheung Chau Pier towards Tung Wan.

    Mui Wo Sports Centre

    Introduction
    Mui Wo Sports Centre is located at Mui Wo Municipal Services Building, 9 Ngan Shek Street, Lantau Island. The Sports Centre was opened in August 1993. A wide variety of sports facilities are available to be booked by individuals or groups during opening hours. Besides, there is a temporary study area which opens all-year-round.

  • A multi-purpose arena which can be used as a basketball court / volleyball court, four badminton courts or two gateball courts
  • 1 multi-purpose activity room with 115M2
  • 1 fitness room
  • 2 multi-purpose squash courts
  • A temporary study area which can accomodate 16 persons

    • Opening Hours
    8:30am to 10:30pm daily (except on maintenance day)

    Maintenance Day
    2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from 8:30am to 1pm
    (If a maintenance day falls on a public holiday, it will be rescheduled for the next working day.)

    How to Access
    ¡E To take ferry from Central Piers Terminal (Pier 6) to Mui Wo and walk for about 10 minutes from Mui Wo Ferry Pier towards Silvermine Bay
    ¡E To take the 3M New Lantao Bus from Tung Chung MTR station. Bus-stop at the Municipal Services Building was available for some designated bus schedule via the Market. For other schedules, get off at the terminal (Mui Wo Ferry Pier) and walk towards Silvermine Bay for about 10 minutes

    Peng Chau Sports Centre

    Peng Chau Sports Centre is located at Peng Chau Municipal Services Building, 6 Po Peng Street, Peng Chau which is adjacent to Peng Chau Pier. The Sports Centre was opened in December 1991. A wide variety of sports facilities are available to be booked by individuals or groups during opening hours. Besides, recreation and sports programs are organized each month for public participation.

    Praya Street Sports Centre is located at 1st and 2nd floors of the Cheung Chau Municipal Services Building, 2 Tai Hing Tai Road, Cheung Chau. The Sports Centre was opened on 1st July 1991. A wide variety of sports facilities are available to be booked by individuals or groups during opening hours. Besides, recreation and sports programs are organized each month for public participation.

  • 2 multi-purpose activity rooms with less than 100 M2
  • 2 multi-purpose squash courts
  • 1 roof-top sitting out area which can be used as a outdoor gateball court
  • The main arena, activity rooms and squash courts are designated for booking with 60% for sports use and 40% for community use

    Tung Chung Man Tung Road Sports Centre

    Introduction
    Tung Chung Man Tung Road Sports Centre is located at No. 39 Man Tung Road, which is adjacent to Ling Liang Church E Wun Secondary School. The Sports Centre was opened on 18 February 2010. A wide variety of sports facilities are available to be booked by individuals or groups during opening hours. Besides, recreation and sports programs are organized each month for public participation.

  • A multi-purpose arena which can be used as 2 basketball / volleyball courts or 8 badminton courts
  • 2 multi-purpose activity room of 185M2
  • 1 multi-purpose activity room of 43M2
  • 1 table tennis room with 4 table tennis tables
  • 1 fitness room
  • 1 children's play room
    (The Children's Play Room is mainly designed for the use by children aged from 4 to 9 whose heights are not exceeding 142cm. Children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by their parents or guardians inside the play room)
  • A fee-charging car park with 30 car parking spaces is provided (including 2 designated disabled parking space)

    • Walking of around 8 mins via Citygate from exit C of Tung Chung MTR Station

    • Walking of around 2 mins from Ling Liang Church E Wun Secondary School or Coastal Skyline at Man Tung Road for the following bus routes -
      • Citybus No. E21A from Ho Man Tin (Oi Man Estate) to Tung Chung (Yat Tung Estate) (Frequency: around 15 to 25 mins)

      • Long Win Bus No.E31 from Tsuen Wan (Discovery Park) to Tung Chung (Yat Tung Estate) (Frequency: around 10 to 20 mins)

      • Citybus No. S56 (Circular Route) from Tung Chung Station to Airport (Passenger Terminal Building) (Frequency: around 30 mins)

      • New Lantao Bus No. 37 (Circular Route) from Yat Tung Estate to Tung Chung North (Caribbean Coast) (special route for students)

    • Other bus routes via Tung Chung stops at Tung Chung Fire Station. Walking distance from Tung Chung Fire Station around 15 mins. Bus interchange scheme is available at Lantau Link Toll Plaza for E21A and E31. Walking of around 2 mins from E Wun Secondary School or Coastal Skyline at Man Tung Road for E21A and E31.
