Representatives from the LCSD and the Department of Health, renowned athletes and members of the public will be invited to put their pledges into action and sign the Charter together. Other programmes such as free physical fitness tests, health information exhibitions talks, sports demonstrations and play-in sessions etc.

Representative from the Department of Sports Science and Leisure Management, HKU, will be invited to elaborate on the benefits of jogging, basic skills and the selection of jogging outfit from the health point of view. Mr. HO Kwan-lung, former member of the HK Team, will be invited to share with participants his experience of taking part in competitions and give demonstrations so that participants can experience the benefits and fun of jogging.

Experienced yoga trainers from Yoga Place will elaborate on and demonstrate the currently popular yoga exercise, including its history, benefits, types, poses, etc. to enable participants to have exchanges among themselves and to watch and learn.

【Appointment 6】 : Sports Carnival

Details :Various kinds of sports such as dance, ball games, orienteering, rock climbing and fitness test etc .will be introduced in the form of sports demonstration and play-in session to enable participants to enjoy the fun of doing exercise together.

 

Enrolment methods of "Exercise Appointments":

  1. The participant must register as a Charter signee first (please refer to "How To Join").

  2. Enrolment in person at any District Leisure Services Office:
    • On the date of enrolment, the Charter signee should bring the completed "Enrolment form of Exercise Appointments" to any District Leisure Services Office under the LCSD to undergo enrolment formalities and collect the Admission Ticket. During enrolment, the Charter signee should produce his / her "My Exercise Diary" booklet and identification document (original or copy) for verification.
    • One should queue up for enrolment in activities of the same Activity Number, and a maximum of 4 applicants are allowed for each enrolment.
    • Counter service hours of District Leisure Services Offices:
      Mon to Fri: 8:30am to 6:15pm
      Sat, Sun and Public Holidays: Closed

  3. Enrolment by telephone:
    • The Charter signee may also enrol in the activity by calling the Leisure Link at 2927 8080. However, only one activity can be reserved by each telephone call. The Charter signee should also bring the completed "Enrolment form of Exercise Appointments" to any District Leisure Services Office and collect the Admission Ticket within three days after a reservation has been made. During enrolment, the Charter signee should produce the "My Exercise Diary" booklet and identification document (original or copy) for verification.
    • Leisure Link Telephone Enrolment Service:
      (operated by the operator) Mon to Fri: 8:30am to 5:45pm
      (operated by the Interactive Voice Response System) : Mon to Sun: 7:00am to 9:00pm

Other details

  1. The activity is free of charge but quota is limited. Enrolment is on a first-come-first-served basis and will stop once the quota is full.
  2. The number of enrolment in "Exercise Appointments" activities for a Charter signee is unlimited. He/She may get an attractive magnetic sticker and / or a souvenir for each attendance at the "Exercise Appointments" activities. The souvenirs will be given out while stock lasts.
  3. Anyone who attends the "Exercise Appointments" activities should produce respective Admission Tickets for identity verification.
