Fitness Message for Office Workers

*

Dear office workers, we recommend you to ¡Kphoto

In workplace :

  1. Reduce the use of escalators and lifts. Instead, take the stairs more regularly to increase your physical activities.
  2. Choose to go on foot instead of using the telephone for holding business talks with organisations or departments nearby. This will increase your physical activity level.
  3. Move your joints and stretch the muscles involved regularly to relax the tense and fatigued muscles if you have been doing the same repetitive movements or maintaining a sustained posture for a long time.
  4. Pick a simple lunch so that you may have 30 minutes' time spared for ball games, walking exercise or stretching exercise, etc.
  5. Get off the vehicle one or two stops earlier and take an extra 15 minutes' walk every day when you go to work or return home after work.

After office hours:

  1. After office hours, you may do your favourite exercise such as football, yoga and multi-gym fitness exercises with your colleagues or friends so as to reduce your fatigue and tiredness after a day's work.
  2. During holidays, take part in outdoor exercise such as hiking, QualiWalk, canoeing with your family to relax yourself physically and mentally.

Information on exercise suitable for office workers is available at the following website: http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/healthy/b5/exercise.php.
