Prospectus of Planting Herbs in School Scheme 2012/13

Details of the Scheme


The Planting Herbs in School Scheme embraces the following –

  1. LCSD will arrange talks on growing of herbs as well as distribution of information of the herbs to schools.

  2. Participating schools implement the plantings and organized relevant fringe activities.
Please refer to Annex 1 for details.


Objectives


To promote a green culture among students, cultivate their interest in growing herbs.


Eligibility of entry


All local registered primary, secondary, special schools and kindergartens may apply.


Application


Please complete the application form at Annex 2. All applications should reach the Zoo and Horticulture Education Unit by fax (Fax No: 2367 0556) or by post (Address : 1/F, Kowloon Park Office, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon) on or before the closing date.

(a) Invite applications

(c) Delivery of herbs (about 10-15 nos.) to schools

November 2012

(d) Participating schools plan the herbs and organize relevant fringe activities.

December 2012 to March 2013

(e) Submit photo album record book

March 2013
