Prospectus of One Person, One Flower Scheme 2008

Organizer

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD)


Details of the Scheme


The One Person, One Flower Scheme embraces the following -

  1. Schools to submit proposals on numbers of participating students and seedlings required;

  2. LCSD will arrange talks on growing of theme flower as well as distribution of information leaflets, seeds and seedlings of the theme flower to schools.

  3. Participating schools implement the plantings and organized relevant fringe activities.
Please refer to Annex 1 for details.


Objectives


To promote a green culture among students, cultivate their interest in growing plants and raise their concerns to the community.


Eligibility of entry


All local registered primary, secondary, special schools and kindergartens may apply.


Application


Please complete the application form at Annex 2. All applications should reach the Zoo and Horticulture Education Unit by fax (Fax No : 2367 0556) or by post (Address : 1/F, Kowloon Park Office, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon) on or before the closing date.
