Characteristics:
About 11 cm long. Bright green upperparts, yellow
throat and vent with conspicuous white eyering.
Distribution:
Resident. Commonly seen in woodland and
major urban parks.
Habits:
Often in large flocks in winter. Found
everywhere. Constantly emits soft tzee note to
keep in close contact with its peers. Feeds on
fruits, nectar, pollen and insects. Breeding season
from March to August. Grass cup nest attached
to a twig.
