Characteristics:
About 45 cm long with long tail. Plumage is mostly bluish-black but scapulars and belly are white to give a distinctive black and white combination. It makes a loud sound like chak-chak-chak-chak.

Distribution:
Resident. Commonly seen in the countryside and major urban parks.

Habits:
Omnivorous. Feeds mainly on insects, small animals and fruits on the ground.
