Temporary closure of some LCSD leisure and sports facilities
嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗嚗

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (April 29) that the following leisure and sports facilities will be temporarily closed:

(a) The arena at Yeung Uk Road Sports Centre in Tsuen Wan District will be temporarily closed from May 1 to mid-August, 2014 for replacement works on the air conditioning system. Other facilities in the sports centre will remain open as usual. During the closure period, the public may use similar facilities at Wai Tsuen Sports Centre, Tsuen Wan West Sports Centre or Tsuen King Circuit Sports Centre in the same district.

(b) The gateball court at Tsuen Wan Park will be temporarily closed from May 7 to June 18, 2014 for turf maintenance. During the closure period, the public may use similar facilities at the nearby Tsuen Wan Riveria Park.

(c) The natural turf pitch at Tsuen Wan Riveria Park will be temporarily closed from May 12 to June 22, 2014 for turf maintenance. During the closure period, the public may use similar facilities at the nearby Shing Mun Valley Sports Ground.

(d) The grass pitch at Tsing Yi Sports Ground in Kwai Tsing District will be temporarily closed from May 20 to July 14, 2014 for turf maintenance. The running track will remain open as usual. During the closure period, the public may use the grass pitch at Kwai Chung Sports Ground in the same district.

(e) The natural grass soccer pitch and the golf driving range at Wo Yi Hop Road Sports Ground in Kwai Tsing District will be temporarily closed from May 28 to July 8, 2014 for turf maintenance. During the closure period, the public may use the grass pitch at Kwai Chung Sports Ground in the same district.

(f) Some facilities of Fat Kwong Street Sports Centre in Kowloon City District will be temporarily closed for maintenance:

     Badminton courts            June 23 to 27
     (Nos. 1 to No. 4)

     During the closure period, the public may use similar facilities at To Kwa Wan Sports Centre, Hung Hom Municipal Services Building Sports Centre and Ho Man Tin Sports Centre (table-tennis table only) in the same district.
