Final two weeks of "Images Through Time: Photos of Old Hong Kong" exhibition
**************************************

"Images Through Time: Photos of Old Hong Kong", the largest exhibition of historic photos ever held in Hong Kong, draws to a close at the Hong Kong Museum of History on April 21. Members of the public who have yet to see these precious photos should take the opportunity to visit the exhibition in the coming two weeks.

A spokesperson for the Hong Kong Museum of History today (April 7) noted that the exhibition has received an impressive response from the public, with about 100 000 visitors since it opened on December 18 last year.

The exhibition showcases more than 800 priceless old photos related to Hong Kong's history, livelihood and customs. The images depict everyday subjects of food, transport, festivities, disasters, customs and practices, as well as the development of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, offering visitors the chance to see how Hong Kong has evolved over the past century. Some rare old photos have not been exhibited before. A series of interactive multimedia programmes also add to visitors' experience.

The exhibition is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and organised by the Hong Kong Museum of History with support from the Moonchu Foundation. The exhibited photos are selected from the collections of the museum and the Moonchu Foundation.

The Hong Kong Museum of History is located at 100 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It is open from 10am to 6pm on weekdays, from 10am to 7pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It is closed on Tuesdays (except public holidays). The admission fees for the exhibition "Images Through Time: Photos of Old Hong Kong" are $20 (standard ticket) and $10 (concession ticket). Half-price concession tickets are available on Wednesdays.

For details of the exhibition, please visit the Hong Kong Museum of History's website at http://hk.history.museum or call 2724 9042 for enquiries.
