Veteran musicians to showcase traditional Guangdong music

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department's Guangdong Music Series will present fascinating programmes from October to December. The programme will feature concerts by groups of veteran musicians with a mission of perpetuating traditional Chinese culture and promoting Guangdong Music. In addition to the concerts, there are also free outdoor performances.

     Programme details are as follows:

Cantonese Music in Hong Kong - A Concert of "Hard-bow" Ensemble
October 13 (Saturday), 8pm

"Mesmerizing Wind and Bowed-strings" - A Concert by the Hong Kong Yue Yue Tuan
October 14 (Sunday), 8pm

A Concert by the Cantonese Music and Song Art Troupe

     Tickets are now available at all URBTIX utlets, on the Internet and by telephone credit card booking. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for CSSA recipients available on a first-come, first-served basis).

     Patrons who purchase standard tickets for two or more of the above-mentioned concerts can enjoy a Guangdong Music Series package discount. There is a 10 per cent discount for each purchase for two concerts, 15 per cent off for three concerts, and 20 per cent off for four or more concerts.
