Activities at St Stephen's Beach Water Sports Centre to resume tomorrow

Attention TV/radio announcers:

Please broadcast the following as soon as possible:

Following the completion of police action in connection with a suspected bomb located on the sea bed off St Stephen's Bay, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (December 20) that activities at the St Stephen's Beach Water Sports Centre will resume tomorrow (December 21). As the centre is closed on Tuesdays, no activities have been scheduled today.

Meanwhile, the red flag hoisted at St Stephen's Beach earlier has been lowered. Nonetheless, as lifeguard services at the beach are suspended during winter (November 2011 to March 2012), beach-goers are advised not to swim there.

Ends/Tuesday, December 20, 2011
