Temporary suspension of Mobile Library services

     The services provided by Mobile Libraries 3 and 4 will be suspended during designated periods in October and November for routine maintenance, a Leisure and Cultural Services Department spokesman announced today (October 14).

     From October 24 to 29, the following service points of Mobile Library 3 will be affected: Shan King Estate, Siu Hong Court, Sam Shing Estate and Fu Tai Estate in Tuen Mun; Tin Yiu Estate in Tin Shui Wai; and Ping Shan and Fairview Park in Yuen Long. To enquire about Mobile Library 3 services, please call 2450 1857.

     From October 25 to November 4, the following service points of Mobile Library 4 will be affected: Yat Tung Estate in Tung Chung; and Discovery Bay, Pui O, Shui Hau and Tong Fuk on Lantau Island. For enquiries about Mobile Library 4 services, please call 2984 9417.

     The service points of Mobile Library 2 at Mei Lam Estate and Saddle Ridge Garden in Sha Tin will be suspended on October 21 and 22 respectively due to the replacement of the mobile library van. To enquire about Mobile Library 2 services, please call 2605 1071.

     People are welcome to use other public libraries during the service suspension periods. They may also renew library materials by telephoning 2698 0002 or 2827 2833, or via the Internet at
