Barrier-free Facilities and Services

To facilitate people with disabilities to enjoy entertainment events as well as participate in sports activities, the Hong Kong Coliseum has carried out barrier-free improvement works to facilities that include:

A. Facilities for wheelchair users
1.	Wheelchair platforms at the arena to accommodate a maximum of 64 wheelchair users and 64 minders. Wheelchair users can make use of the stairlifts to reach these platforms.
2.	A specially designed ticketing system that for wheelchair users to exchange tickets for wheelchair platform seats when purchasing tickets via various URBTIX ticketing channels.
3.	Stairlift to the VIP Lounge.
4.	Six disabled toilets inside the arena and at the piazza as well as a disabled shower room at the backstage.
5.	Tailor-made information desk at foyer, box office counter, kiosk counter and Self-service Ticketing Kiosk at the piazza.
B. Facilities for visually impaired users
1.	Tactile guide paths installed at the piazza and inside the arena.
2.	Braille maps installed at the piazza.
3.	Non-slip nosing and handrails with Braille plates at most of the arena and piazza staircases.
4.	Guide dogs are trained as working dogs to assist the visually impaired user in his/her daily life. Hong Kong Coliseum welcomes visually impaired users to bring their guide dogs to enter the venue for participating events or watching programmes.
C. Facilities for hearing impaired users
1.	Induction loops at the entrance foyer, box office and arena seating area to assist hearing aid users.
2.	Visual fire alarm system installed at the venue.
