Red-whiskered Bulbul

Pycnonotus jocosus

Red-whiskered Bulbul Characteristics:
About 20 cm long. Black crest, red cheek patch (except juveniles) and orange-red vent.


Distribution:
Resident. Often seen in woodland in the countryside, urban parks and wooded areas.

Habits:
Flying in trees in small flocks. Feeds on fruits and insects.
