Feral Pigeon

Columba livia

Feral Pigeon Characteristics:
About 32 cm long. Variable in form and colour but usually blue-grey with two broad black wing bars.


Distribution:
Introduced species. All those seen in the countryside are descendents of domestic stock. Often appears in large flocks in major urban parks.

Habits:
Feeds on food such as seeds and breadcrumb,
and occasionally other food fed by human.
