In 2013-14, the department conducted 18 surveys to gauge customer satisfaction with its services. Of the 14 completed surveys on outsourced sports centres, 12 showed user satisfaction levels of more than 80 per cent, while the other two recorded satisfaction rates that were slightly lower than this figure. An opinion survey on the LCSD’s performing arts activities was completed in September 2013; the results indicated that around 85 per cent of audiences were satisfied with the programmes organised by the department.

The remaining three opinion surveys conducted in 2013-14 were an omnibus survey on selected service areas, a survey of tourists’ behaviour and their interest in visiting museums, and an opinion survey on museum services. The first two surveys are expected to be completed by July 2014, and the last one by September 2014.

Our ‘Views from the Public’ system maintains a database of feedback received through various channels regarding the department’s policies, facilities and services. This information is regularly analysed, and reports made to management which help them identify areas for improvement.
