Sports Exchange and Co-operation Programmes

To raise the standard of sport in Hong Kong and to pursue sports exchanges and co-operation, the following five agreements/memoranda have been signed between Hong Kong and Mainland China.

  • The Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macau Sports Exchange and Co-operation Agreement (December 29, 2003).
  • The Hong Kong and State Sports General Administration of China Sports Exchange and Co-operation Agreement (May 13, 2004).
  • The Hong Kong and Shanghai Administration of Sports Exchange and Co-operation Programme Agreement (May 30, 2004).
  • The Hong Kong and the General Office of Culture, Radio, TV, Publications and Sports of Hainan Province Sports Exchange and Co-operation Programme Memorandum (November 15, 2004).
  • The Hong Kong and Yunnan Sports Exchange and Co-operation Memorandum (May 28, 2005).

The Sports Exchange and Co-operation Programme is designed to facilitate sports exchanges and co-operation between Hong Kong and cities in Mainland China.

A number of exchange programmes have been held throughout the year with various Mainland cities under the auspices of these agreements and memoranda.
