Exhibit Highlights

Land Like A Cat

For gymnasts and high jumpers, landing is as important as the take-off. Even distribution of the impact at landing helps athletes reduce the risk of suffering from serious injury. In this exhibit, you can take a low jump and the force of your landing will be measured.

Balance Beam

Moving around on a 10-cm wide competition balance beam is not easy. You will see why some gymnasts stress the importance of "Mind your nose" as you watch your own image in the mirror installed at the end of the beam.

Baseball Pitch

Join the major leagues ¡V pitching a baseball the regulation 18 metres from pitcher's mound to home plate. Your speed and accuracy of pitch will be registered. See whether you can hit the strike zone!

Get in the Volleyball Game

Using virtual reality technology, you can spike in a virtual volleyball game.

10 Meter Dash

Enter the starting block and count down for a 10 meter dash. You can choose to race against your friend, an image of Olympic sprinter, a cheetah or a T-rex.

Rowing

Row your boat, gently down the stream... After the starting gun goes off, you would row as fast as possible, checking your progress on the screen to see how fast you are as compared with your competitor.

See Yourself Walk

Walking involves a lot of fancy footwork ¡V and crawling as a baby helps one walk as one grows up. Step onto a treadmill and you will see in a monitor how you look from behind as you walk.

Sportschair Race

You can sprint 50 metres on a wheelchair specially designed for the race and compare your time with that of others. You would discover that when it comes to wheelchair racing, a little push on the inner rim will go a long way.

Supermarket

This child-sized mock-up of supermarket allows you to learn about nutrition and health as you sort a variety of products. You will also know about what it means to have a balanced diet.

"Heat Stress Index" Measuring System

This exhibit introduces the "Heat Stress Index" Measuring System developed by the Hong Kong Observatory for the Olympic equestrian events. You will discover that humidity dominates the changes of Heat Stress.
