Original Site of Furen Wenshe (Literary Society for the Promotion of Benevolence)
1 Pak Tsz Lane
Furen Wenshe (Foo Yan Man Ser) was founded by Yang Quyun (Yeung Ku-wan) and Xie Zuantai (Tse Tsan-tai) in 1892 with the aim to enlighten the public. It was the place where revolutionaries frequented for meetings. Now, the entrance and steps of Pak Tsz Lane, the way through which members went for meetings, are still retained. (Memorial plaque is in Pak Tsz Lane Park.)
