Young Friends of Heritage (YFOH) Scheme Now open for applications

Young Friends of Heritage Webpage

Launched in 2004, the Young Friends of Heritage (YFOH) Scheme was well received by teachers and students. Through the participation in training programmes and voluntary services, the Antiquities and Monuments Office hope that the youngsters will recognize the importance of heritage preservation and learn how to treasure our cultural heritage.

We have trained more than 180 secondary school students to become YFOH in the past few years. The students were required to complete a series of training, which included visits to Heritage Trails and other cultural spots, archaeological workshops and experience sharing sessions. The YFOH have been participating actively in various tasks and voluntary services on heritage, such as creating the YFOH webpage, organizing activities and cleaning monuments. They have been working hard on the mission of promoting heritage preservation at the school and community level.
