Public Programme
"Modelling Clayware Making" Workshop

Pottery wares are commonly excavated in Hong Kong, and are evidence of early human activity in the region. In prehistoric times, pottery wares were usually shaped by looping strips of clay, and decorated with patterns drawn or stamped with ropes. This workshop will introduce pottery excavated in Hong Kong, including food containers and vessels for cooking. Participants can also make their own mini clayware and bring home as a souvenir.
