The Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware started the "Tea Ware by Hong Kong Potters Competition" for the first time in 1986 aiming to promote ceramic art in Hong Kong. Over the years, the Competition has witnessed a new generation of outstanding ceramic artists. The number of participants has shown a steady increase and it has become the signature competition in local ceramic art circle. This year's Competition is the tenth time and attracted a total of 276 participants, the highest ever recorded entrants among the previous competitions. In this year, the exhibition features 116 items of selected tea ware made by 93 local potters. It is also the highest recorded exhibits among the previous exhibitions.

The Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware has set up an exhibition to showcase the ceramic works acquiried from the "Tea Ware by Hong Kong Potters" exhibitions in the restricted area near Gate 36, Level 6, and Departure Hall of the Terminal 1 at the Hong Kong International Airport. We hope to take this opportunity to review the achievement of Hong Kong ceramic art in the past three decades and share its fruit of success with all participants and ceramic art lovers.
