In the first two films of director Wong Tin-lam’s Greatest Civil War on Earth trilogy , Liu Enjia and Leung Sing-po are the center of the film as dueling business owners, while their children’s love affair always remained the subplots. In the final film of the series, the focus shifts to Liu Enjia’s restaurant owner character, particularly his objection to the love between his niece (Christine Pai Lu-ming) and impoverished teacher (Kelly Lai Chen). Of course, Liu and Leung’s antics still play an important part in the story, with Liu unwittingly courting Leung, who is disguised as a rich woman. The fight between the two hefty stars after the reveal of Leung’s disguise is easily the highlight of the film.
