Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Old Master Cute, we are screening the very first film based on the beloved comic strip. In their first live-action adventure, Old Master Cute (Ko Lo-chuen) unwittingly starts a war between two families after his attempt to find a wife for good friend Mr. Chin (Cheung Ching) goes horribly wrong. Ko physically embodies the popular character by shaving his head and adopting a series of bizarre physical mannerisms. Featuring hilarious scenes such as Master Cute's confrontation with a youth gang (featuring cameos by Connie Chan, Nancy Sit, Kenneth Tsang and other superstars), this rollicking comedy is Ko's favorite film within his extensive filography.
