Ko Ming-chu (Connie Chan Po-chu) is an ordinary factory girl who faces harassment by the pervert factory owner (Keung Chung-ping) at work and faces a tumultuous life at home. With the help of her boyfriend Kong Ho (Lui Kay), Ming-chu leaves her impoverished life behind and becomes a silver screen superstar. Ko Lo-chuen gives a simply marvelous performance as Ming-chu's greedy addict father, who will stop at nothing to gain from a forced marriage between Ming-chu and the factory owner. Ko displays an amazing transformation throughout the story, going from a comical villain to a remorseful man who finally realizes the error of his ways.
