Based on Brother Liu and Brother Wang on the Roads in Taiwan (1959) by Li Hsing, this Laurel and Hardy-style odd couple comedy stars Leung Sing-po and Sun Ma Ss-tsang as two rickshaw drivers (One fat, one short, of course) duped into believing fake prophecies by the same fortune teller. As fortune teller Bao Li-ling, Ko Lo-chuen fires his comedic engines on all cylinders in the pivotal fortune telling scene, already worth the price of admission for the brilliantly witty improvised dialogue between the three actors. In addition to a beautiful musical performance by Sun Ma Si-tsang and Carrie Ku Mei, set pieces such as the heroes' disastrous trip to an erotic dance joint and their beauty pageant-like competition for their future wives will surely tickle the audiences' funny bone.
