Opera superstars Sun Ma Si Tsang and Yam Kim-fai star as best pals, Sun Ma playing the character with the word "dragon" in his name and Yam the one with the" tiger" label, the latter paired as lovers with her favorite partner Pak Suet-sin, whose character name contains the word "phoenix", completing the holy trinity of good luck. Sing Her a Love Song is a city comedy features an ample supply of musical numbers and is also marked by early scenes shot in scenic spots and busy streets, providing interesting glimpses into the urban landscapes of 1950s Hong Kong.
