Based on a popular opera story, itself inspired by the affair of famed poet Su Dongpo, this is Taming of the Shrew with a Cantonese opera twist. Opera superstars Pak Suet-sin and Yam Kim-fai play the shrew (the ferocious feline in the title) and her husband, and Tam Sin-hung is the nice, innocent girl who's used as a pawn in a complicated web of love, jealousy and imperial court intrigues.
