The classic story of Romeo and Juliet gets a supernatural twist in Wong Tin- Lam’s romantic melodrama. In the region of Xiangxi, the Luo and the Chen families have been sworn enemies for generations. However, Luo Yuhua (Chung Ching) and Chen Danian (Chen Ho) manage to fall in love, defying their family’s heated rivalry. When Yuhua refuses to get married to the despicable Jin San, her father captures Danian in order to force Yuhua into the marriage. As Danian’s brother puts together a rescue plan for Danian, he discovers a terrifying conspiracy connected to a ritual involving corpses. Although Tong Yuejuan cast doubts over Chen Ho's overly thin stature, Zhang Shankun was quite confident about his success.
