The teddy boy, as embodied by Mak Kay as one of his specialties, is the guy every young man loves to be, every middleaged man loves to hate and every old man loves to forget. He has fun at clubs, has his ways with girls, fights guys who disagree with him and pretty much gets what he wants, whatever it takes! Teddy Boys and Teddy Girls is a typical product of the schizophrenic 1960s, when Cantonese cinema was trying desperately to appease the burgeoning youth sector, all the while trying to talk them out of what they want - as represented by Mak Kay the Teddy Boy!
