A Fool's Luck

To save their father from jail , siblings Hing-wan (Mak Bing-wing) and So-ying venture to the capital to appeal for his release. Along the way, they meet locksmith Wu Tin-to (Yam Kim-fai) and ask him to pose as So-yin’s husband for protection. Despite Tin-to’s clumsy, bumbling nature, he manages to save the day, gets the girl and exposes the evil eunuch (Yu Ming) that put Hing-wan’s father behind bars. Yu Ming doesn’t appear in the film as the conniving villain until the second half, but Yam Kim-fai’s adorably hilarious performance is already well worth the price of admission.
