We have chosen one of Yu Ming’s favorite films as the opening film of this special retrospective. Josephine Siao Fong-fong stars as Lam Oi-lin, a woman so desperate for a job that she poses as the cousin of millionaire Chan Wang (Kang Wai), not knowing that Chan is actually the company’s Board Chairman. Infatuated with Lam, Chan pretends not to know about Lam's false identity and showers her with a new home and a job promotion. He even orders his underling Kung Ka (Yu Ming) to pose as a rich businessman and attempt to woo Lam as a test. Yu shows off his great comic timing as the hero’s strategist. His comic chase scene involving a security guard is easily the comic highlight of the film.
