Mak Kay is all attitude in The Merdeka Bridge, a melodrama that takes place in Singapore. Pompadour hair greased to perfection, his head forever tilted to one side, posture perpetually slouched, the collar of his Hawaiian shirt strategically turned up, a hog between his legs, Mak plays a spoiled brat on the fast track to becoming rotten. This may be a vehicle for the gorgeous Patricia Lam Fung, but without Mak playing alongside with his schtick, she would not be complete.
