To escape an arranged marriage, an heiress (Tang Bik-wan) dresses up as a boy and runs away from home. She is taken in to a crowded shared apartment by a resident (Woo Fung) and meets people from all walks of life for the first time. Just as the heiress begins to adjust to life in the apartment, the owner decides to take back the unit. Just before everyone is evicted, the heiress discovers that the owner is her father and saves the day. This cheerful ensemble comedy is filled with some of the greatest character actors of its time, including To Sam-ku in her signature role of the money-hungry landlady whose bark is always scarier than her bite.
