An impoverished married couple (To Sam-ku and Yee Chau-sui) wins a horse race bet and suddenly becomes millionaires overnight. The wife becomes excessively self-indulgent in her new-found fortune, embarrassing herself in restaurants, breaking into dresses several sizes too small in shops and even becomes a laughing stock by participating in a beauty pageant. Even worse, she begins looking down at her daughter’s poor boyfriend (Ng Cho-fan).
