Affection and Hatred of the Knight is as much a romance as it is a wuxia film. Matinee idol Tse Yin, starring in his own company's production, plays a carefree martial artist who unwittingly gets involved in a highway robbery, only to realize that it relates to the murder of his own father. In the process, he has to use his manly charm on a young woman, just so he can save the life of another...Tam Sin-hung stands out as the girl who can't help but be charmed and director-scriptwriter Tso Kea keeps a balance between the parallel plots of action and romance.
