Chai Kung, the monk known affectionately in folklore as Living Buddha, is beloved for his eccentric personality and big-hearted chivalry, often standing up for the underdog against the powerfully corrupt. He is a favorite character of Hong Kong films and this is one of several from the 1960s starring the Canto Op superstar Sun Ma Si-tsang. In this adventure, he solves a mysterious case of missing young women, in the process landing himself briefly in jail! Film also stars teen idols Josephine Siao and Connie Chan Po-chu, the later playing a male character.
