The Chinese title of Three Love Affairs is "Queen of Factory Workers" and it is indeed a celebration of the women who constituted a new work force of Hong Kong in the 1960s. The film, reminiscent of Sun Luen's The Great Pretender (1959), is about workers who pose as rich folks in order to land a spouse of higher class standings. A situation comedy full of life's touches.
