Meet the Kos, a dysfunctional family of three generations who runs the Ko Kee Cement Company: Patriarch Fatkau (Leung Sing-po) and Matriarch (Ma Siu-ying), son Sau-sek (Cheng Kwun-min), his wife Tang (Tam Lan-hing) and their son Kim-kwong (Yam Kim-fai). The ill-tempered Tang lords over the family with tyrannical tantrums and the parents-in-law seek to shift the balance of power by finding a bride for the grandson the equal of the shrew. They're in for a shock when the new addition to the family turns out to be genteel and well mannered...A stellar cast of comedy heavyweights come together in this family mellow-drama, offering a hilarious examination of the ageold mother vs daughter-out-law struggle that has been haunting Chinese families for generations.
