Before there was internet, before there was facebook, people were hiding behind fake identities. Cheung (Cheung Ying) and Kwong (Hung Sin Nui) have a chance encounter at the bus stop. They begin a romance posing as rich folks to each other, when in fact they are tenants of neighboring shoe-box rooms who bicker over a partition without ever meeting. This film delights as much with this ironic situation as with the colorful cast of supporting characters: Ng Cho-fan as a scientist from the north who refuses to go along with demanding capitalists and Yee Chau-shui as the landlord, an over-the-hill opera player who’s never without a Cantonese opera tune on his lips or hilarious tricks up his sleeves.
