About the Programme

Lee Bing Commemoration Concert has ‘Celebration of Life’ as the main theme.

The repertoire includes Western and Chinese art songs, operatic and oratorio arias, and other classical songs, which were taught by Lee Bing to the performers of this concert.  This concert also includes two works composed by Professors Chan Wing-wah and Daniel Law, which are to be world premiered; also works by Professors Chan Wai-kwong and Richard Tsang.

Celebrated mezzo-soprano Lee Bing's 78 years was a life of love of life and of music, such rich and beautiful life as is shared by others as well.  It is the celebration of life, all for the glory of God, as excerpts from Vivaldi's Gloria fittingly concludes as the finale.
