Travel on Lands in a white tent- A non- verbal exploration of the atmosphere, movements, rhythms and sounds of the natural world.

‘The illusion is enveloping.  The skill in their making and the range of techniques used is stunning.’

The Herald, Scotland

‘The most delicate experience here is Landscapes.  The show is performed without language and its stories are the basic, eternal tales of the wild.’

Globe and Mail, Canada

About the Programme

An extraordinary journey!

Landscapes is a non-verbal theatre set inside a beautiful white calico dome, presenting four areas of the natural world.  Audiences travel from the desert to the rainforest and from under the sea to the South Pole.

Using puppets, special lighting effects and an immersive sound track, the performance takes their young audiences on a very special journey.

The sun rises over a buzzing desert.

A chick hatches.

The eagle leaves the nest in search of food.

Below, the Meerkats are alert.

The Journey begins......

Programme Length

About the Group

Mimika Theatre (UK) aims to create beautifully crafted theatre that can effectively communicate with a wide variety of young audiences.  Over 30 years, the style, content and techniques have changed but there are two constants: the work is always non-verbal and accessible.  They exploit the power of the visual image to communicate with and hopefully move their audiences.  As the narrative and the whole experience is non-verbal, their work can reach children for whom English is not their primary language.

Mimika Theatre has performed this hugely successful show to children in Europe, USA, Canada, South East Asia and China.  They brought their ‘Small Worlds’, touring across the World.
