A lesson of love and generosity in a heart-touching classic tale

Prize for the Best Show, Friends of Titeremurcia, Murcia, Spain, 2012
The Happy Prince is a story of a majestic statue. The statue is of a Prince who was completely unconcerned by what was happening beyond the walls of his castle in his whole easy and luxurious life. Though, he was now tied to that statue bathed in gold with precious stones, he was not happy. From his privileged hill, he observed the misery of most of the inhabitants of the city; the poverty which he was previously unaware became his pain and every night he cried for being impotent to help them.
One day, a swallow who was flying over the city, took refuge at the feet of the statute to spend the night there. She was touched by his kindness and agreed to help him despite the fact that she did not have much time as her fellows were waiting for her to emigrate to warmer lands to escape from the cold winter. The swallow, guided by the Prince, took out all the precious materials that covered him for sending to the people in need.
A lesson of love and generosity.
