Nazha accidentally kills the disciple of Lady Shiji with his celestial bow after returning home, thereby leading to a further crisis. Shiji confronts Li Jing to demand justice. Madam Yin happens to fall critically ill. Shiji grasps the chance to take over Madam Yin’s body in a bid to hurt Nazha by instigating conflicts among the father and sons. Demonstration Performance The Triple-forked Crossroad

The Triple-forked Crossroad, a story about the Yang Family Generals in the Song Dynasty, is a martial arts play that requires great skill. The two actors perform on a stage with strong light as if they are groping around and fighting fiercely in total darkness. The play features exciting scenes of attack and defense in complete silence and thus can be regarded as the oldest Chinese pantomime.

General Jiao Zan has been exiled to Shamen Island. The military commander Yang Yanzhao assigns Ren Tanghui to protect him secretly. They stay in a “gangster inn” at the Triple-forked Crossroad for the night. The innkeeper Liu Lihua, who is loyal to the Song Dynasty, has mistaken Tanghui for an assassin sent by the treacherous officials. He thus sneaks into the guest room in the middle of the night trying to kill him.

Demonstration Performance The Camp from The Matchless Pair

General Xia Yunlong and his sister Yunxiang flee with the crown prince taking refuge in the State of Wei. Yunlong plans to seek military assistance through He Caifeng, his fiancée and the second daughter of Zhaohe Pass Commander, for helping the crown prince regain the throne. Feihu, the widowed elder brother of Caifeng, falls for the beautiful Yunxiang and wants to take her as his wife. Yunxiang accepts his marriage proposal.

Yunlong gets impatient after awaiting Marshal Hoe’s return for several months. Yunlong coerces Caifeng to borrow the commander’s seal for the deployment of troops. Yunxiang uses tricks to get the arsenal key. When Yunlong leads the troops all the way back to Northern Qi, he wins one victory after another with the hope of recovering all lost territory. The King of Wei orders the He family to return the marshal’s seal and withdraw the troops, otherwise he will mete out heavy punishment to Marshal Hoe and his entire family. However, Yunlong resists the order and kills those military officers in opposition. The Camp is an episode portraying a bitter wrangle over the commander’s seal between the brothers-in-law and the sisters-in-law. No one is willing to give in no matter who is right and who is wrong. The story continues with action scenes full of excitement.
