The Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong was organised by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) and co-organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). In order to make the Torch Relay a success, the SF&OC and the HKSAR Government established a Steering Committee, which was responsible for monitoring the overall tactics, planning and policy of the Hong Kong Torch Relay. An Organising Committee formed under the Steering Committee was responsible for monitoring all tasks relating to the Torch Relay. Under the Organising Committee, there were four sub-committees and two working groups which were responsible for undertaking all special tasks relating to the Hong Kong Torch Relay.
