Hands-on Activities

All activities will be conducted in Cantonese and are free for participation, but admission fee to the Museum is required.
Registration starts at 2pm at the Activity Room, 2/F, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum; first come, first served.


“Zhongshan Suit ” – The Making of Paper Tole Spring Couplet

The instructor will work with participants to create unique paper tole spring couplets inspired by the “Zhongshan Suit”.

“Pineapple Pattern” – The Making of Penholder

Tan Chor Lam, one of the Prominent Singapore Trio, produced canned pineapples under the brand names “Istana” and “Hin Choon & Co”. The instructor will work with participants to make pretty and practical pineapple penholders using collage techniques.

“Stained-glass Windows of Kom Tong Hall” – The Making of Easter Egg

The instructor will work with participants to create colourful stone Easter eggs inspired by the stained-glass windows of Kom Tong Hall.
