Inclement Weather Special Arrangement

Museum Opening

• Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above

  • The museum will be closed. It will remain closed ifthe signal is lowered less than 2 hours before the normal closing time.

• Rainstorm Black Warning

  • If the warning is issued while the museum is in service, the normal opening hours will remain unchanged. If the warning is issued before opening hours, the museum will be closed until the warning is cancelled.

Museum Charged Activities

• Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above/Rainstorm Black Warning

  • All activities will be cancelled.

• Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 /Rainstorm Red Warning

  • Activities already in progress will continue.

  • Activities not yet started will be cancelled.

• Tropical Cyclone Warning No. 1 / Rainstorm Yellow Warning

  • Family programmes not yet started will be cancelled. All other activities will be held as scheduled.

Museum Free Activities

• Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above

  • All activities will be cancelled.

• Rainstorm Black Warning

  • Activities already in progress will continue.

  • Activities not yet started will be cancelled.

• Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 / Rainstorm Red Warning

  • All activities will be held as scheduled.
