Solar eclipses occur when the Sun, the Moon and the Earth are in near alignment, and the Sun gets obscured by the Moon.A partial solar eclipse will occur on 19 March 2007. The next solar eclipse visible in Hong Kong, even though a partial one, will not happen until 1 August 2008.
